Dr Abigail Easter
Dr Abigail Easter is a Reader in Perinatal Mental Health in the Department of Women and Children’s Health at King's College London and Lead of the Maternal and Perinatal Systems and Policy (MAPS) Research Group. Her research focuses on improving care and outcomes for women experiencing perinatal mental illness, with particular interests in the interface between maternity and mental healthcare services, implementation science, and maternal morbidity and mortality.
Abigail completed her PhD at King’s College London exploring the implications of maternal eating disorders for pregnancy, birth, motherhood, and child health. She continues to work in this field alongside broader research focused on improving perinatal mental health care and support across health and social care systems.
