This session integrates research on menstrual disturbance, fertility, and risk of unplanned pregnancy in individuals with eating disorders, alongside clinical practice in preconception care and lived experience of family planning and reproductive health.

Eating Disorders During Pregnancy

This session combines research on the prevalence and course of eating disorders during pregnancy, associated mental health comorbidity, and pregnancy and birth outcomes with clinical insights from perinatal and eating disorder care, alongside lived experience perspectives of challenges during pregnancy and navigating health services.

Postnatal Mental Health, Parenting, and Child outcomes

This session brings together research on postnatal eating disorder relapse, postpartum depression, infant feeding, bonding, and child developmental outcomes with clinical practice across relevant services and lived experience of the postnatal period and early parenting.

Final reflections and Panel Discussion

Closing reflections on key themes from the workshop, followed by panel discussion and audience questions. This session will consider how learning from the day can inform practice and support for individuals experiencing eating disorders during pregnancy and early parenthood.
