Lucy Santuary

I am a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, and a Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Practitioner, specialising in autism, with over fifteen years’ experience in the NHS and private practice. I carry out autism assessments as part of a multi-disciplinary team, and provide therapy for autistic children, young people and their families, and training for parents and professionals. I use adapted cognitive behaviour therapy that is bespoke for individual children and young people. I have a systemic approach, which helps families understand each other, supports generalisation and develops their ability to manage situations together. I work with autistic children and young people with a range of mental health conditions, many have do not identify with their birth gender, have difficulties with food, self-harm and feel suicidal. I am neurodivergent and many of my family are, too. I am committed to increasing understanding, reducing stigma and promoting equality and inclusion.
