Christine McGrath
Christine McGrath is a registered social worker and accredited psychoanalytic psychotherapist with nearly twenty‑five years of experience in Health and Social Care. She has built extensive clinical expertise across a wide range of mental health services, including Community Mental Health, Forensic Services, Regional Emergency Social Work, Psychotherapy, and Eating Disorders. Over the past decade, Christine has held a series of management and leadership roles overseeing services such as Community Mental Health, Emotional Wellbeing Hubs, Peer Advocacy, Zero Suicide initiatives, and Eating Disorder care.
In November 2024, she was appointed Social Care Commissioning Lead for the Regional Eating Disorder Managed Care Network NI, where she is responsible for the commissioning, planning, and performance oversight of eating disorder services across Northern Ireland. Christine is deeply committed to shaping compassionate, equitable, and truly person‑centred health and social care. She brings a strong value base grounded in challenging stigma, promoting inclusion, and advocating for people with eating disorders to receive the care, dignity, and opportunities they deserve. Guided by collaboration, innovation, and social justice, she works to build accessible and effective systems that make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
