Hannah Beba
Hannah Beba is an RPS-approved Consultant Pharmacist for Diabetes and Clinical Lead for Obesity working for the West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership. She is a member of the medicines optimisation team and works seamlessly between the ICB and provider organisations to drive positive change for people living with diabetes. Hannah’s role combines a strong primary care focus with direct clinical practice across the diabetes spectrum. In primary care, she specialises in the management of complex type 2 diabetes, while in secondary care she provides specialist support to people living with type 1 diabetes and other forms of diabetes, including type 3c and monogenic diabetes. This dual-clinic involvement underpins her integrated care approach and commitment to delivering holistic, person-centred care across settings. Driven to tackle inequalities in care, Hannah has led focused work around diabetes technology, multimorbidity, and obesity in recent years. Across West Yorkshire, she chairs the Expert Reference Group for Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Medicine — a multidisciplinary, multi-stakeholder forum that applies a
population health management approach to improving outcomes. Nationally, Hannah serves as co-chair of the Council of Healthcare Professionals at Diabetes UK and sits on the committee of the Primary Care Diabetes and Obesity Society. A clinical academic passionate about education, Hannah regularly presents at national conferences and events and tutors on the University of Warwick MSc Programme in Diabetes. She is also an NIHR Pre-Doctoral Fellow, focusing her research on implementing impactful renal care pathways for people with diabetes in primary care.
