Dr Zoe Kolokotroni

Co-director of Human Behavioural Neuroscience Lab at Leeds Beckett University and research member of The Obesity Institute. My research focuses on the psychological and neurobiological mechanisms underpinning addictive behaviours, emotional and disordered eating, and multimorbidity. I have a particular interest in the role of inhibitory control in addiction and the identification of early risk factors contributing to the development of co-occurring physical and mental health conditions. My work has direct implications for clinical practice, informing the development of more effective prevention and intervention strategies for individuals living with obesity and substance use disorders. I am committed to translational research that bridges experimental findings with real-world applications in public health and clinical settings.
