The workshops are primarily aimed at healthcare professionals, with the aim to equip them with knowledge and practical information that can be directly applied to and improve clinical practice, as well as encourage the implementation of different ideas. We do this by using both clinical expertise and lived experiences through an interactive conversation/debate about the session topic in hand, moving away from Powerpoint presentation/lecture style.

Unfortunately, the donations we receive are applied to other work like our helpline and our campaigning meaning we do not have the funds available to allow us to make these workshops a free-of-charge event. The cost charged enables us to cover the costs incurred in running them and we do not profit from the workshops. We are looking for funding to make them free of charge but have so far not been able to find a willing funder. We will however have some free events coming up throughout the year - please keep an eye out for updates on our socials.
After ticket sales close for a virtual workshop, we have to charge a late administration fee of £80.00 for access to the workshop recording. This fee covers the costs incurred by Beat to facilitate access to the on-demand content after this date.

As a charity, we have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of EDIC. However, we've recognised a growing demand from healthcare and school professionals and carers for more in-depth exploration of eating disorder topics. In response, we’ve launched a series of virtual workshops that delve deeper into these subjects. If you're interested in learning more about our CPD-accredited workshops, you can find additional information here.
