Event Disclaimer
All best endeavours will be made to present the programme as printed. However, the organisers (Beat) reserve the right to alter or cancel, without prior notice, any arrangements, timetables, plans or other items relating directly or indirectly to the event, for any cause beyond its reasonable control. The organisers are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused as a result of such alteration.
If Beat is prevented from carrying out any event as advertised, for any reason beyond it’s reasonable control or such virtual event cannot be virtually conducted because of a software or issue with the hosting platform. Beat shall have the right to immediately terminate the affected virtual event without liability and shall be relieved of its obligations to the Event Registrant. If the affected virtual event is terminated due to unavoidable issues outside of our control. Beat will reschedule the affected Virtual Event as soon as reasonably possible and your registration fee will be applied to the rescheduled event date/time.
If any minor transmitting issues are experienced during a virtual event (internet connectivity, power cuts, remote speaker technology failures. for example). Beat will work hard to rectify the issues as quickly as possible.
Should any delegate attending a Beat virtual event experience any technological issues or interference such as firewall access issues, outdated software etc, preventing access to the event Beat will not be liable for such occurrences. However, the event team will be on hand to support where possible and delegates will still have access to the event recording after the event date has passed.
Event Content
The programme is designed to appeal both to people working professionally in a field related to eating disorders and to those caring for a loved one with an eating disorder. Due to the programme content and the debates which will ensue, the event content may not be suitable for someone currently suffering and could be significantly triggering for some.
Speakers are sent guidelines prior to the conference around sensitive presentation and agree to our equality, diversity and inclusion statement. The conference organisers (Beat) accepts no responsibility for the content of keynote or, workshop sessions.
Event Participation
Beat have the right to remove participants from any virtual event if the participant’s behaviour is disruptive, discriminatory, abusive and/or negatively impacts the event experience for other participants.
We ask that participants do not use or reference triggering information whilst engaging with others during the event as others may find this triggering or upsetting.
Event Registration Fees and Cancellation
The event registration fee is due in full before the event takes place. If payment is not received prior to the event taking place you will not be given access to the event.
Cancellation requests are subject to the entire event registration fee. All sales are final and no refunds will be given. Please note that if you do not attend an event and do not access the event content, you are still responsible for the event registration fee. Beat try to ensure that we make our virtual event content available on demand for up to a month where we are able. To enable participants can catch up on the event at a time that suits them.
